Allam Elkarmi, Regional Managing Director, Verizon

Allam Elkarmi is the Managing Director for Verizon Middle East and Africa and has more than 20 years of telecommunications experience in network and products managing IT and Telecom solutions for enterprise customers. In his current role Allam is responsible for managing the Verizon Network, VNS & Security services in MEA, for Verizon's direct and indirect channels.  Prior to his current role Allam was responsible for planning, negotiating and implementing Verizon global Private IP network throughout the MEA region expanding to more more than 60 countries to include setting up key strategic partnerships with various providers across the region including but not limited to; Etisalat, DU, STC, Telecom Egypt, Oreedo, Batelco, MTN, ITC and Mobily. 
Since joining Verizon in 1997, Allam held various managerial positions in network planning & Engineering, Carrier Management, and Product Management. Allam is based in Dubai since 2008
