Amelia S. Ponio V has more than a decade of experience in process improvement, project development, project management, business development and innovation. Spanning from different industries from Retail (Watsons Personal Care Inc.), Information Technology (Hewlett-Packard), Investments (Metro Pacific Investments Corporation to Railway (Light Rail Manila Corporation – LRMC).
Amelia is currently the lead for Innovations and the OIC for Customer Relations as well as Corporate Communications of LRMC, a privately-owned railway company. She pioneered the innovation program of LRMC from introducing the culture of innovation, coaching and conceptualization of projects up to the implementation strategies and actualization. She has been part of LRMC even prior to the transfer from the government through a Concession Agreement and has supported Top Management in facilitating the turnover.
Amelia has written articles for international journals/conferences such as the 5th International Conference of Corporate Social Responsibility (Csr) Sustainability, Ethics & Governance and Industrial Engineering & Management Systems. She is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from De La Salle University Manila and is a Global Innovation Management Institute (GIMI) Innovation Management Level 1 certified.
On the personal side, Amelia is an outdoor enthusiast and is an open water certified diver, had trekked several mountains, and ran a couple of marathon events in the Philippines.
