Since 2008: Professor in Innate Immunology  (DTU Veterinary and recently DTU Bioengineering) Since 2010: Head of Studies DTU Pharmaceutical Design and Engineering MSc program Host responses to infection/inflammation in a very wide range of models and applications, including studies on basic stimulation of innate immune mechanisms during infection, inflammation and immunomodulation by synthetic compounds (dendrimers).

I have headed the set-up of bioconjugate chemistry (espec. peptide synthesis), high-throughput transcription and mass spectrometry based methods for applications within innate immunology, especially in pigs and other veterinary animals. My current focus is on host responses in big animal models for human diseases.
