Christopher Kemball received a B.A. in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in Immunology & Microbial Pathogenesis from Emory University. He conducted postdoctoral research at The Scripps Research Institute and investigated how coxsackievirus impairs antiviral T cell immunity and modifies cellular autophagy. Chris joined Agensys, Inc. in 2011 as a scientist and led preclinical research programs focused on bispecific antibodies and next-generation antibody drug conjugates. Chris joined Genentech, Inc. in 2018 and is a Senior Principal Scientist in the Department of Biochemical & Cellular Pharmacology, supporting in vitro characterization of therapeutics for oncology and immunology.
