Dr. Kurt Stahura is the Assistant Dean of UNLV Singapore, branch campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).  He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.A.) and received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Minnesota, where he graduated with high honors (Phi Kappa Phi).  He previously served as a Programme Director and Director for Student & Academic Affairs at UNLV Singapore.

As a tenured faculty member in the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the main campus of UNLV in Las Vegas, Dr. Stahura taught courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in organisational behaviour, research methods, human resources, diversity, leadership and intercultural communication.  Dr. Stahura has been a journal editor and served on a number of editorial boards, where he chaired over 60 dissertations, master’s theses and interdisciplinary honors projects. 

Dr. Stahura has published over 40 articles appearing in regional, national and international journals, and has made over 130 presentations.  He has conducted research on race and gender issues, as well as social trends in the leisure and hospitality industry.  Dr. Stahura has consulted in the education, hospitality and leisure industries on programme development, organisational structure, and has served as a communications facilitator.  His scholarly pursuits and consulting expertise have taken him to India, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Greece, Turkey and all over the United States.
