Mr George Weinmann, Chief Executive Officer, MEGA Maldives Airlines

George Weinmann is the founder and CEO of MEGA Maldives Airlines, the privately-owned international airline of the Republic of Maldives. George began his career at the Boeing Company as an aerospace engineer prior to joining Boeing’s strategic assessment group responsible for business case and merger and acquisition projects where he was part of the Boeing Ventures establishment team, a $200 million internal business incubator. After Boeing, George was involved in a variety of aviation business and consulting projects in China including raising substantial start-up capital for a proposed low cost airline. George earned a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA with high distinction from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. George is a private pilot and speaks conversational Mandarin. He is married with two children. When not on an airplane George may be found at his home in Beijing or his office in Maldives.
