Katina Stefanova served as a Senior Executive and Management Committee Advisor at Bridgewater Associates, a globally recognized investment manager and the largest hedge-fund in the world. Ms. Stefanova joined Bridgewater as a Senior Investment Associate in Account Management and trained in Dalio’s systematic macro-economic investment strategy until she was hand-picked by the Founder and CEO to lead Bridgewater’s business functions. Her leadership was instrumental in building out the fund’s critical infrastructure ranging from Client Service, Back and Middle Office, Recruiting to Information Technology. During her tenure the fund grew from $15 billion to $150 billion in AUM and from 200 to 1400 employees.    In her most recent role, she was Senior Executive and Management Committee Advisor overseeing all post-trade departments including Operations, Back and Middle Office Technology, Fund Accounting, Tax, Compliance and Legal. She led the strategic transformation of the Back and Middle Office and established a tri-party operating model with BNYM and NT. In Fund Legal and Compliance, she prepared the organization for regulatory changes while optimizing the area for 30% efficiency.
