As Head of Global Relationships at Sun Life Financial International, Alejandro brings over 16 years of perspective and experience in financial organizations operating globally. Alejandro and his team partner with global financial firms to provide solutions, ideas and support to their wealth management needs, strategies and initiatives, utilizing the vast global resources, know hows and expertise of Sun Life Financial International in the international wealth management business.
Alejandro started his financial services career at Putnam Investments in the mid-1990s before joining Sun Life Financial International in 2008. During his tenure at Putnam, he worked in 401k customer service, operations, project management, and as AVP for its Offshore business. Alejandro's understanding of the offshore market in the Americas allowed him to be Putnam's relationship and sales representative and work with advisors in the selection of offshore mutual funds to complement their clients’ investment objectives. In addition, Alejandro also assisted distributors with sales, marketing, and support of offshore funds sales.
Alejandro completed an undergraduate program in Hotel and Travel Management at CENP in Madrid, Spain, holds Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) licenses 6, 7, and 63, and received a Financial Planning certificate from Boston University’s continuing education program.
Alejandro is bilingual in English and Spanish with knowledge of French and Italian. In his spare time, Alejandro coaches his kids’ soccer teams, runs and plays recreational basketball. He is a licensed soccer coach in MA.
