Mr Simon Earles, Head of Surface Access, Heathrow Airport

Simon is an airport and surface access professional, with 15 years experience developing and delivering transport strategy in the public, private and corporate sector.   Simon joined the aviation sector in 2000, and working at London Luton Airport led its master planning, surface access and corporate social responsibility team, helping to secure national policy support for a significant capacity increase at the airport and led the consultation on the draft airport master plan and preparation of a major planning application.   In 2010 Simon joined Heathrow Airport Limited to lead the airport’s surface access strategy development. He is accountable for Heathrow’s interface with major transport projects such as HS2, Crossrail and Western Rail Access and for developing Heathrow’s surface access proposals for the Airports Commission.   Simon is passionate about the promotion of integrated transport at airports. He believes if developed through effective partnerships, it can deliver significant benefits for airport passengers and employees but also for the wider community.
