Has worked at Milton Keynes Council since 1998.
His management responsibilities include corporate strategy and performance, communications, economic development and inward investment.
His wider role includes promoting Milton Keynes to external audiences and investors and leading major projects to secure the long-term economic success and sustainability of the city – which is the fastest growing place in the UK and has a population of 260,000 (2014). Current projects include the Milton Keynes Future City programme, intelligent mobility and major arts and sports events, including being a host city for Rugby World Cup 2015.
Geoff graduated from Leeds University in 1985 and began his career researching racial violence for Leeds Community Relations Council. He subsequently worked in various policy and research roles for Manchester City Council and Northamptonshire County Council.
