Multimedia over Coax Alliance, MoCA ®, develops the coax standards for managed networks.   MoCA® lets people work, learn, and stream over existing coax cable in homes, apartments, flats, hotels, and buildings worldwide.  MoCA Home? and MoCA Access? standards deliver dynamic symmetrical multi-gigabit speeds for reliable, low latency, and secure broadband networks.   Incorporated in Broadband Forum?s TR-419, MoCA Access ? 2.5 network systems can pass data up to 2.5 gigabits per second.  MoCA Access? 2.5 operates over coaxial cable and uses selectable spectrum in the range of 400MHz to 1675MHz, allowing the technology to coexist with pre-existing services such as DOCSIS.
