Associate Professor Dr. Ismi Arif Ismail is the Deputy Dean and Principal Researcher at Innovative Learning Sciences Research Centre of Excellence (INNOVATE), Faculty of Educational Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia. Dr. Ismi started his career as a school teacher in 1993. His association with UPM dates back to 1995, when he joined the Department of Extension Education as a postgraduate student and eventually as a faculty member in 2000. He has been widely published, as author and co-author of books, book chapters, monographs, proceedings, and scores of scholarly papers, abstracts and related materials in areas such as continuing education, extension education, leadership, youth development and human resource development. Dr. Ismi received a bachelor's degree in TESL (Hons) from National University of Malaysia in 1993, a master's degree in Extension Education from UPM in 1999 and a doctorate in Continuing Education from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom in 2005.
