Teong Beng Koay, Research Associate, Acoustic Research Lab, Tropical Marine Science Institute, National University of Singapore

Teong Beng has been developing autonomous instruments for marine research for more than 15 years. He has led system development in various studies, ranging from bioacoustics of tiny shrimps to humpback whales, from passive environmental sensing to underwater communication and marine robotics.
 
He is currently working on a team of heterogeneous robotic assets in the Acoustic Research Lab of Tropical Marine Science Institute in NUS and is passionate about bringing robotics and associated intelligence into daily environment sensing
