Vivian B. Intatano is currently the Head Teacher of Science Department at Raja Soliman Science & Technology High School in Binondo, Manila. She taught General Science subject for 17 years and Environmental Science for three years. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education major in General Science at the National Teachers College. She has a Master’s Degree in Education Major in Educational Administration at the University of the Philippines in Diliman Quezon City. She participated in international training programs for teachers as scholar. These are Training Program for Science Teachers in Bandung Indonesia sponsored by SEAMEO QITEP in 2011 and International Leaders in Education Program (ILEP) sponsored by IREX and US Department of States through Fulbright Philippines. As ILEP fellow, she attended audit courses and special training in Technology for Education and Teacher Leadership at Kent State University in Ohio USA in 2015. She was a regional trainer for UBD and K to 12 Programs of the Department of Education. She conducted several demonstration teachings in the Division of Manila and she serves as trainers during seminars and trainings for teachers in topics such as assessment, teacher leadership , teaching strategies and technology for education. She writes lesson plans and other curriculum materials for teachers such as worksheets and science activities. She spearheaded training program for use of technology for classroom instruction. She proposed the e-learning classroom project in Arellano High School where she served as teacher for 17 years. Her project for e learning classroom for Raja Soliman Science & Technology High School is in progress. Aside for her advocacy to promote effective use technology for classroom instruction, she also advocates to promote a clean and greener environment through her “Eco- Caravan Project for the Community and “YCARE” (Youth for Care and Respect the Environment) movement. She received several outstanding teacher awards in school and in the Division of Manila. Vivian is happily married and blessed with a son who is currently a senior high school student who serves as her inspiration in pursuing excellence in her service for quality education.
