Anwar Kawtharani, Dean of School of Education., Lebanese International University

As a fully qualified teacher with 32 years of varied experience in schools and 12 years at university, Dr. Anwar Kawtharani has been serving as the Dean of the School of Education at the Lebanese International University since 2010. Results-oriented, high-energy, hands-on professional, with a successful record of accomplishments in the education field, training, assessment, and communication have been part of his profession with students and instructor. He is the Head of the English Language coordinator at AMJAD High School since 2000. Dr. Kawtharani serves on the Executive Board of Assessment for the Lebanese Official Exams committee of English Language for secondary classes at the Ministry of Education in Lebanon since 2001. He also serves on the Higher Committee for Curriculum Development of the Lebanese National Center for Educational Research (NCERD) since 1998 and regularly conducts in-service training in schools and universities in Lebanon. He is envolved in curriculum design and professional development in 9 Arab countries (Sudan, Mauritania, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Oman Jordan, United Arab Emirates and Qatar) and 4 in Europe (England, Slovakia, Spain and Slovenia). He is also an advisor and reader for PhD candidates in the field of Education and TEFL at the Lebanese University since 2013. He is an AdvancED team evaluator and certified eleot - observer for effective leaning environment observation tools, 2017. He is one of International School Ambassadors for the British Council in Beirut since 2005. Dr Kawtharani has now been apointed as a permanent member on the Arab Council of Univetsities on Quality Assurance as of 2017. Not to forget, Dr. Kawtharani has coauthored academic books and contributed to research articles in the field of Education and TESL leaving him as a well-rounded educational figure.
