Patrick F. Poetzsch, Head of Automated Sales, Product & Programs, Lufthansa German Airlines

Patrick is responsible for automated sales, including the digitalisation and automatisation of processes, products and programs, involving all relevant sales platforms of external partners/providers (including OBE, OTA, content aggregators, etc.) He designs highly standardised programs to be presented and marketed via web-based applications; and is also responsible for global payment processes with regards to acceptance and implementation in all digital media and sales channels.

Prior to that, Patrick was the Director of Global Leisure Sales and played instrumental role in repositioning Lufthansa’s approach to leisure business by setting up a new way of Distribution IT, Cache Solutions and Bypass options. Supported by Vayant Travel Solutions and Peakwork’s new player-hub technology, he was changing the game for the automated sales process in Lufthansa’s global leisure sales. 

“Regaining product supremacy within the distribution process” is the key to success for the resolute 30 year airline veteran and future-oriented entrepreneur with long-term sales experience in the airline industry. His holistic and operational shaped “hands-on” approach and strategic competence achieved verifiable successes with the marketing and steering of multinational key accounts and interdisciplinary projects on international level. 

Before joining Lufthansa he successfully held various international management positions with United Airlines and Pan Am.
