Post-graduate in Business Administration with over 31 years of experience in the Aviation industry with extensive exposure in the areas of network planning, scheduling, pricing, distribution and revenue management 

Joined the Commercial Department of Indian Airlines as a Management Trainee in 1983 Shifted to Air India post the merger of Indian Airlines and Air India in 2007 and served the merged airline first as General Manager – Market Planning,  then as General Manager – Revenue Management and later as Executive Director – Commercial. 

Most notably was involved in the re-orientation / integration of the networks of Air India and Indian Airlines, the establishment of Delhi as the merged Airline’s primary hub and implementation of the higher version of PROS RMS in Air India. Have served as Council member of SITA 

In March 2014, was selected to head Air India Charters Limited, wholly owned subsidiary of Air India, as the airline’s CEO

Air India Charters has a fleet of 17 B 737 – NG aircraft and operates low-cost flights between India and destinations in Gulf and South East Asia under the trade name – Air India Express. The budgeted passenger revenue of Air India Express in FY 15 is roughly equal USD half billion.
