Joanna Patterson is French and lived in London with her husband before moving to Shanghai last year.

She has 20 years of airline experience and is working in China having joined China Eastern Airlines in April 2014.

Joanna heads up China Eastern’s newly created Global Corporate Sales Department, with special focus on international markets. In addition she assists China Eastern in improving their corporate sales execution and process.

Before working for China Eastern Joanna worked for 3 major European airlines in Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

After finishing her university studies, she started her career at British Midland Airways in sales and marketing. Joanna then joined Lufthansa’s Global Corporate Sales team, before becoming part of the Lufthansa Private Jet project team. She then moved to Air France KLM where she ran the Corporate sales team in the UK for 7 years, managing the merger of Air France and KLM’s sales teams, and the integration of the Delta joint-venture.

Joanna has extensive and successful experience in global corporate sales, with an excellent knowledge of change management in the airline industry.

She has an international background and Joanna loves travelling and discovering new cultures.
