Ismail Fahmi Abdul Rahman is the First Vice President of Human Resources for FireFly who aims to ensure that the airline has the right leadership qualities on board and that they adopt appropriate talent management practices at a time of great uncertainty and rapid change.

After studying Business Administration in HR at Universiti Utara Malaysia, Fahmi worked in HR for a series of organisations such as Amcor and East Coast Economic Region Development Council. With an enthusiasm for aeroplanes and especially the human factors, his career moved into the aviation sector 2013. He has been focused on employee engagement as a key strategy to retain talents in face of the industry's shortage of aviation professionals.
