Fiona Blakey, Head of Product and Service Development, Thomson Airways

Fiona has been leading the airline's product and service future development for the last six years for Thomson Airways and previously for ten years in British Airways.

Over the last six years she transformed the Thomson airline experience from being a regular charter airline into a leading holiday airline that has been awarded the SkyTrax award for World's Best Leisure Airline for the last four years.

During that time she has developed new cabins and services as part of the UK introduction of the 787 Dreamliner with particular emphasis on the Premium Economy customer supporting the TUI company strategy to grow longhaul.

Previously at British Airways she was the Marketing Brand Manager for Longhaul World Traveller and World Traveller PLUS cabins leading the very first worldwide launch of World Traveller Plus back in 2000.

Fiona is well known in the industry as expert on the longhaul premium economy market having worked on propositions that support both the budget business traveller and the discerning leisure traveller. She seeks ground breaking alternative ways to serve longhaul economy customers and has been actively involved in new seating and cabin concepts.

In her spare time Fiona loves to travel and visit her brother and family who live in Singapore. She has a home in Surrey, England and can be seen spending much of her holiday time traveling around Asia and staying with friends in Australia and New Zealand. She is engaged to be married in Fiji later this year.
