Vaclav Prochazka, Vice director for R and D, University hospital Ostravs

He graduated from the Medical Faculty of Palacky University in Olomouc (1985), in 2004, he received his Ph.D., he completed an internship at Paris Sud University with an MSc in 2005 gained II. the degree of specialization in internal medicine in the field of Angiology and in 2006 finished a course at the European Society of Neuroradiology (ECNR). Since 2009, the Deputy Director for Research and Science at the University Hospital Ostrava .

He is a member of national and international scientific societies: Czech Society of Angiology (CAS), Czech Society of Interventional Radiology (CNRS), Czech Flebological Society (CFS), Czech Neurological Society (CNS) and International Angiology Society] (IAS), Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Society of Europe (CIRS), World Federation of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology] (WFITN) and the Society for Cryobiology (SCB).

From the Czech Society of Angiology has won several awards: in 2004 for the best publication in the field of vascular disease in 2011 and 2013 for the best publications and monographs in the field of Angiology. He is the author of dozens of scientific articles in particular in the field of vascular diseases and regenerative medicine.

He is the co-patent Treating burn injuries with Real hypertrophic scarring - US Patent No. 8,728,466 B2
