The UK ATTC Network is a world-first system of Advanced Therapy Treatment Centres (ATTCs) operating within the NHS framework and coordinated by the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult (CGT Catapult). These centres, funded for three years by Innovate UK and the Industrial Challenge Strategy Fund, are:
• Innovate Manchester Advanced Therapy Centre Hub (iMATCH)
• Midlands-Wales Advanced Therapy Treatment Centre (MW-ATTC, comprising Birmingham, Cardiff, Nottingham and Swansea)
• Northern Alliance Advanced Therapies Treatment Centre (NAATTC, working across Scotland, Newcastle and Leeds)
The individual ATTCs, comprised of advanced therapy developers, supply chain and NHS partners, have their own particular focus and also work together as a Network to address the unique and complex challenges of treating patients with pioneering advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) at scale. The CGT Catapult is well placed to coordinate the ATTC Network activity as it is a centre of excellence in innovation, with the core purpose of building a world-leading cell and gene therapy sector in the UK as a key part of a global industry.
