Dr. Jagan Sastry is a professor in the Department of immunology at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX.  His group’s research over the past 25 years is focused on understanding pathogenic and immune mechanisms operating in infections by HIV and HPV with the intent to develop prophylactic and therapeutic vaccine and inhibitory interventions.
