Ali Amiri | EVP Carrier & Wholesale Etisalat
Ali Amiri is the Executive Vice President for Etisalat’s Carrier and Wholesale Services. In this role he is responsible for leading the development of a comprehensive portfolio of world class services and to market these to a global audience. He is also responsible for the evolution and development of Etisalat’s international submarine network, which is ultimately responsible for the company’s ability to provide high-speed and reliable voice and data services to the UAE as well as to its customers from the regional and international telecommunications industry.
Etisalat Carrier and Wholesale was formed in 2007, and was launched by H.E. Mohammad Hassan Omran (Chairman of Etisalat) in November of that year. Ali Amiri was the founding member of the division, and has since led the successful growth of the company’s mobile and broadband data portfolio. Amiri and his team are also responsible for roaming business and interconnection with international and national telecommunication service providers.
Ali Amiri has previously served as Chairman of both the GSM Arab World and was a Member of the GSMA executive committee. He has also held various posts in Engineering and Operational field and as Executive Vice President Operations, actively involved in various Corporation’s strategic activities both locally and internationally
Ali Amiri is a graduate in Engineering from the King’s College in London.
