Ms. Safiya Yu is a Senior Engineer in the Railways Branch of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) of the Government of the Hong Kong SAR. She is responsible for overseeing the safety of over 56km of the Tuen Ma Line metro operation in Hong Kong. Ms. Yu joined EMSD in 2007 and possesses a wide range of professional experience in electronics and information engineering, including project management, operation and maintenance services, and railway safety regulation. She specializes in the implementation of innovation and digital transformation projects, including AI optimization, workflow process reengineering, and robotics applications.
