Thandeka Buthelezi, Executive Manager: Customer Services, PRASA

I’m currently an Executive Manager of Customer Services at Prasa Rail one of the Divisions of PRASA. I’m responsible for the customer value chain and ensuring that customer experience is improved at every touchpoint. I started as Assistant Manager in 1999 and was given an opportunity to establish the Department at a Head Office level. I’m also responsible for setting of fares and collection of revenue.
Before joining PRASA I was a teacher for more than 10 years. I was teaching Economics and Accounting. At the time of my departure I was heading Department of Commerce.
I hold B Com (ed) degree from University of Limpopo and a certificate in Management Advancement Programme from Wits University.
