Pat Magner MBA is Senior Vice President for Global Operations at STADA Arzneimittel AG, Germany. In this role he is responsible for all 14 production sites worldwide as well as site to site transfers including new launches. STADA AG focuses on the sale of generic and branded drugs with the vast majority of these manufactured inhouse. Successful generic manufacturing companies all focus on cost leadership while delivering an acceptable quality product to the market. There are many facits to cost leadership, some of these can be directly influenced by an operations group (such as equipment performance) and others indirectly ( such as number and size of SKUs). 

The operations group in STADA AG focus on three main areas , product performance, process efficiency and equipment performance. Over the last number of years STADA has invested in Lean six sigma tools and built a culture of "Show me the DATA" to make better decisions on how improvements can be identified and solution put in place.
