Alla Reddy, Acting Deputy Chief, Data Research & Development, New York City Transit

Alla V. Reddy is Senior Director, System Data & Research at MTA New York City Transit Operations Planning.   With 35 years' experience in transit management and planning, he oversee the TA's efforts in quantitative research to solve management problems and improve system productivity/efficiency.  Using "big data" analysis and optimization techniques, he provides policy recommendations to senior management, external stakeholders and policymakers.  Statistics kept by his department includes Key Performance Indicators, service planning/schedule making data, and Federally mandatory reporting.  System Data & Research also serves as an internal consultant to other MTA departments including Audit, Office of Management and Budget, Law, and Office of Civil Rights.  He has extensive professional experience in systems development lifecycle, project leadership, statistical and quantitative analysis, performance audit, industrial engineering, process improvement and technology evaluation.  He holds a Masters degree in Operations Research from NYU Polytechnic University in Brooklyn.
