Mr Gerardo Grajales | Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Grajales joined Aaerovías del Contienete Americano S.A., Avianca on May 20, 2002 as CFO. He has a B.S. in Business Administration with an M.S. in finance from Baltimore University. He started his professional career as Treasurer for Gillette Colombia in 1992 and joined Baxter Pharmaceutical as CFO in 1995 and acted also as Marketing Director for the Andean region. In 1998, he joined the electric power industry in Colombia acting as CEO for thermal power plants located in Cartagena, Colombia. As Avianca’s CFO, Mr. Grajales lead the successful C-11 process of the Company. He has also lead the teams that negotiated the new fleet, its incorporation and financing, including ECA and IFC financing as well as the local bond issuance for ~US$250 million in 2009. Currently Mr Grajales is the Executive VP and CFO for AviancaTaca group.
