Dr. Konstantinos Gkagkas holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a specialisation in Aeronautical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.  He also holds a PhD from Imperial College London on Numerical Simulation of Turbulent Reacting Flows.  Dr. Gkagkas joined the Advanced Technology Division of Toyota Motor Europe in 2008 with the responsibility to create novel concepts that will lead into ground-breaking technologies in the field of automotive functional components.  Over the years, he has been responsible for a significant number of new concepts spanning from novel drivetrain concepts to advanced lightweight materials, developed in collaboration with leading European universities and institutions.
Finally, Dr. Gkagkas represents Toyota Motor Europe to Advanced Technology related conferences and is the author of several highly cited publications.
