Mr. Russell is an internationally known health economist with more than 30 years of experience.  During his career he has consulted to more than 60 life sciences companies, including most of the largest global medical device companies, on issues pertaining to clinical and commercial strategy; served as a senior executive in the pharmaceutical and hospital industries; and served on the Economics or Finance faculties of several American universities, including Boston University, Bentley University, and University of New Hampshire

At Truven Health Analytics, Mr. Russell leads the Strategic Consulting practice within the Life Sciences division and serves as a member of the senior management team.  Aspects of his research have appeared in more than 125 peer-reviewed manuscripts and abstracts.  He is a subject of biographical record in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, and Who’s Who in Business and Finance.  He received a Master of Arts in Political Economy from Boston University.
