Stuart Kirk is currently the global head of the Financial Times’ esteemed Lex column, which delivers agenda-setting commentary on business and finance. He is also an associate editor at the paper. Stuart joined the Financial Times in London as a Lex writer in 2006. He relocated to New York in 2008 as the column’s US editor before being appointed Lex’s deputy head. Prior to joining the Financial Times, Stuart worked at Oliver Wyman, a management consultancy specialising in financial services. This followed almost a decade at Deutsche Asset Management as a senior portfolio manager running institutional and retail funds investing in Japanese, Asian and latterly global equity markets. He was also an analyst covering a wide range of industries. He graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree in economics and was President of the Union.
