Mihir is a Partner in the Consulting practice of PwC India and leads the Payments Transformation practice. With over 17 years of consulting experience, he has developed a strong business and technology consulting exposure in India and international markets like Middle East, Africa and South Asia. He works with clients in the Financial Services, Government and Telecom industry. He is passionate about helping clients build and grow payments businesses by advising C-Suite executives on areas like Strategy Formulation, Operational Improvement, Technology Advisory and Business Transformationand Build Outs. In India, he has been part of the digital payments growth story of India and has successfully led marquee projects. He has managed the core team to set up the domestic card scheme of India – RuPay from 2011-2013 and continues to be associated with NPCI in an advisory capacity on different products including UPI and AEPS. He has assisted new private sector banks and payments banks for setup of payments products, guiding them on strategy through execution. He has helped government entities and smart cities in India to implement digitized collections and payments solutions for the citizens. He has worked with Government Entities and Banks in multiple countries across South Asia, Middle East and Africa. He is regarded as a payments SME in the PwC Global Network and is currently advising entities in South Asia, Middle East and Africa to set-up country level payment systems. He has been voted as the “50 Most Influential Payments Professionals” awarded by World Payments Congress for 2 consecutive years – 2018 and 2019.
