Taken some additional courses through workshops, seminars and training programmes (2009 – 2013). Included are continuous development courses at the university.
Work experience (1994 – 2017) mainly in teaching and lecturing, including consulting work that has resulted in technical reports. Involved in postgraduate teaching and supervision. 12 publications update in international peer review journals. Research interest are in Climate science, climate change and adaptation, citizen science, monitoring water resources changes using GIS and remote sensing. Participated in national and international conferences.
A member of national and international bodies, E.g the GLOBE community that implements citizens’ science and observations that benefit the environment under the guardianship of NASA and UCAR in Colorado. Also Africa representative on Globe Education working committee.Community engagements: promoting GLOBE activities in schools; Rotarian, development tennis coach. Developed teamwork and collaboration with a number national and international scientist. These collaborations are at university, research institutions and community. BRICS university collaboration. Involved in management and administration duties at department; as safety and health rep; and study adviser for undergraduate degrees. Involved in refereeing duties for academic journals and for academic work (dissertations and theses) as an external examiner. NRF evaluation committee. Love farming and involved in commercial tree farming in Uganda. Director EnviroSpace Systems, and co-director CCSD.
