Rosanne holds qualifications in veterinary science, research, higher education and management and is a former Dean of the Sydney School of Veterinary Science. Her veterinary career started in rural mixed veterinary practice, she completed an internship, PhD on canine fucosidosis and was the Animal Welfare Branch Manager, NSW Department of Agriculture. Rosanne trialled gene and stem cell therapy for neurological disease as a Kleberg postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, and returned to Sydney to teach animal bioscience and physiology. She led the introduction of new degrees (BVSc, BAnVetBioSc, BVetBio/DVM) and is an international accreditor and education consultant. Her current research is on breed-related disease in dogs and veterinary student learning.
