Dr Meg Irvine is a Veterinarian who graduated from Massey in 1998 and has worked in a variety of small animal practices across the UK, Australia and NZ. Meg has a passion for exceptional standards of care and developing and leading great veterinary teams. A previous owner of a busy small animal practice in Nelson, NZ, Meg sold her practice in 2015 and stayed on as lead clinician for the next 7 years, working with the Pet Doctors, National Vet Care and VetPartners teams to continue to improve standards for their patients and clients across the businesses in NZ. Two years ago, Meg took on the role of Veterinary Manager for VetPartners NZ and continues to influence and mentor Veterinarians across the business. Of particular interest to Meg is the impact that communication training and skills can have on the ability to educate and influence clients, improve the service and experience provided and impact the success and wellbeing of the Veterinary team. In 2023 Meg attended the Institute for health care communications train the trainer workshop at the University of Georgia, USA and is one of only three accredited IHC accredited trainers in ANZ. Meg shares these skills and learnings with the VetPartners New graduate academy, and veterinarians across the business and through her own business Vet Lifeskills.
