Mary joined the St Bernards Rd team in March 2021 and prior to this was at RivaPetz Pet Care, in the Riverland, for 7 years. Her pathway leading to working in the veterinary industry was not a typical one.

Growing up, Mary was the one in the family with dogs, cats, birds, ducks, mice, rats and even a goat. Mary has been a long-time RSPCA volunteer and has been involved in organizing badge days and The Million Paws Walk in the Riverland.
Once Mary began part-time work at RivaPetz, she became hooked! Over several years the passion grew and eventually a new career forged its way through. Mary worked remotely for St Bernards Rd Vet Clinic as well as spending 3 days a fortnight in clinic whilst still living in the Riverland.

At the end of 2022 and after over 30 years in the Riverland, Mary and her husband moved back to Adelaide to be closer to family. Mary loves her regular babysitting day in which she gets to spend time with their gorgeous little granddaughter.
Now that she is living in Adelaide, Mary is enjoying being in the clinic much of the time and getting to know our fabulous patients and their families. Being a Veterinary Receptionist is a role Mary has a passion for and has recently joined the AVRA (Australian Veterinary Receptionist Association) founding Council as treasurer. She is excited by the opportunity to be surrounded by an amazing ‘Brains Trust’ and to make a difference to receptionists in Australia and New Zealand.

Music still plays a special part in Mary’s life. She plays flute in the Onkaparinga City Concert Band alongside her trumpeting husband. Mary is also a ‘fill-in’ accompanist for Sing Australia Glenelg.

Mary’s home is shared with her cat Koda, offsider Mia and her hyperactive dog Baylee.
