Dr Kim Filmer is the Chief Animal Welfare Officer, leading the NSW DPI’s Animal Welfare Unit. She represents NSW on the national Animal Welfare Task Group and led the NSW component of the OIE (now WOAH) Performance of Veterinary Services audit. Kim graduated from the Australian Rural Leadership Program in 2020.

Kim has extensive veterinary experience in government, not for profit sectors and private mixed practice. She is passionate about continuously improving animal welfare through collaboration and education.
