Emeritus Professor Of Animal Genetics
For 34 years, Frank Nicholas taught animal genetics in the faculties of Veterinary Science and Agriculture at the University of Sydney. He has remained involved in animal genetics since his retirement in 2007. He is the author of the textbooks Veterinary Genetics and Introduction to Veterinary Genetics. He is also the creator and head curator of Online Mendelian Inheritance In Animals (OMIA) (https://omia.org), a compendium of inherited disorders and the mutations that cause them.
