Dr Emma Hall, Owner and Veterinarian, The Wild Vet

Dr Emma graduated from The University of Sydney in 2016, after first completing a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and Biological Sciences at the University of New South Wales in 2011.

Following graduation, she worked in busy small animal practices across Sydney. In addition to her interests in unusual pets and wildlife, working in general practice also sparked a love of surgery and ultrasonography.

After several years refining these skills, Dr Emma sought a more flexible role in a wildlife-friendly clinic, and in 2020 opened her own veterinary hospital. As head veterinarian at The Wild Vet, she aspires to provide the same gold standard of care to wildlife patients as private patients received

Day 2 @ 11:00

Economic importance in wildlife 'How vets in general practice can help with wildlife conservation efforts'

This session will provide an emphasis on  upskilling vets and nurses after the bush fire disaster. Most vets and nurses are very poorly trained in the treatment of wildlife, and there is no economic incentive to learn how to treat them.
