Eliz Braddon, DVM, Manager Preparedness and Response, Animal Biosecurity | Agriculture and Biosecurity, Department of Primary Industries

Eliz graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, Saskatoon Canada in 1993.  After moving to NSW in 1995, she began work as a mixed private practitioner in Young NSW.  Eliz joined the district veterinarian ranks in 2002 working for the Young Rural Lands Protection Board.  After 17 years as a district vet, the threat of African Swine Fever drew Eliz to the NSW DPI working on preparedness in the pig industry.  Eliz is now managing the animal biosecurity preparedness and response team with a focus on preparing industries and responding to disease events as required.
