Courtnay Baskerville, Senior Lecturer & Program Director - Bachelor of Veterinary Technology, University of Adelaide

Dr Courtnay Baskerville is a Senior Lecturer and current Program Director for the Bachelor of Veterinary Technology at The University of Adelaide. Courtnay has worked as a Veterinary Nurse in small animal, mixed, and equine clinical practice and also has vast experience in veterinary clinical pathology. Courtnay has a Certificate II in Equine Studies, an Undergraduate Degree with Honours in Biomedical Science and a PhD investigating equine laminitis from the University of Melbourne. Courtnay also has a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education and is (finally) completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Courtnay has been educating Bachelor of Veterinary Nursing/Technology (VN/VT) students in Australia since 2016 and currently teaches VN/VT professional development including evidence-based research, clinical governance and clinical skill development. Courtnay is an international speaker on her numerous research areas of interest which include VN/VT professionalisation and the role of VN/VTs in community focussed veterinary care, VN/VT higher education curriculum design and interprofessional education.
