Dr Cherlene Lee | Veterinarian, Director
My Vet Animal Hospital

Dr Cherlene Lee, Veterinarian, Director, My Vet Animal Hospital

Originallyfrom Malaysia, Dr. Cherlene Lee grew up surrounded by animals and envisioned a career changing their lives for the better. She moved to Sydney to pursue her veterinary studies and worked at multiple vet hospitals after graduation. Cherlene felt that thorough
client education and an emphasis on nurturing the special human-animal bond were greatly lacking at most clinics and this is what motivated her to open her own practice in March 2014.

My Vet Animal Hospital is a modern, purpose-built veterinary clinic with a strong focus on customer service and empowering owners to be the best pet parent they can be. It was intentionally built to not look like a regular vet hospital. Instead the clinic has a unique decor with large windows allowing for plenty of natural lighting, offering an invitingly warm and open atmosphere for all owners and their pets.

Cherlene is dedicated to making My Vet more than just a vet hospital by giving back to the community through the Pledge 1% movement and hosting regular events to celebrate pet ownership. She has been involved with the Sydney Homeless Connect charity for the past 5 years, offering free veterinary advice and checks to pets of the homeless, and organising regular donation drives delivering much-needed blankets, jackets, parasite preventatives and food. She has worked with the City of Sydney Council as an active guest speaker advocating for pet care and has also co-hosted multiple council pet events, microchipping and  providing health checks to pets of social housing residents in Waterloo & Redfern. Cherlene has also been invited for guest appearances on Sunrise Channel 7, Channel 9, Studio 10 and SBS and has used these opportunities to provide veterinary advice to help owners make the best informed decisions for their pets such as choosing the type of food to feed.
