Dr Arianne Lowe BSc (hons1) BVSc (hons1) PhD

Arianne graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Science at University of Sydney in 2000 and started her career as a veterinarian in Port Macquarie, doing the veterinary work for the koala hospital. After moving to Canberra, Arianne completed a PhD on effectiveness of environmental conservation projects at the Fensner School, Australian National University in 2007. She is an environmental scientist and also works as the veterinarian for the threatened species programs at Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve (TNR) in the ACT. TNR manages populations of southern brush-tailed rock-wallabies, northern corroboree frogs; as well as breeding populations of koalas, long-nosed potoroos, southern brown bandicoots and platypus that enable valuable research into these Australian native species.
