With the growth of distributed renewable energy, power grids are becoming increasingly variable and unpredictable as more and more renewable energy from smaller producers become connected to the grid. Energy storage at both grid and household scale is key to incorporating variable renewable energies into the mix. The Flexible Grids stream will look at how to create local markets for electricity and showcase the balancing technologies enabling the flexible grid.
Transmission and distribution system operators, large energy users and prosumers, land-owners, and renewable energy developers will all benefit from the content in this theatre.
