Sara has been supporting the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure team within SSE for the last three years through activity including strategic work, business development, product development and innovation. She is currently leading the Innovate UK funded Bus2Grid project, a first of a kind multi-megawatt demonstration of the technical and commercial potential of e-buses to support the electricity system via active bi-directional charging. In the past she worked as a senior strategic low carbon management consultant for three years in Element Energy, involved in the areas of renewable heating, demand side response and alternative fuel vehicles. She graduated as a Chemical Engineer at Complutense of Madrid after spending one year at the University of Birmingham, after which she was awarded a sponsorship to take an MSc degree in Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College.
Sara is passionate about music, being a classical guitar player and performing regularly with the London Philharmonic Choir.
