Rachel is a Chartered Electrical Engineer with 35 years’ experience working for the local distribution network operator since the pre-privatisation Manweb era. During this time Rachel has worked on designing new connections to the local electricity network, maintenance & fault restoration and delivery of large 132kV projects. 
Rachel has been involved in facilitating generation connections onto the local electricity network since 2010 and is now helping to prepare for net zero as the electricity industry transitions to the electrification of the transport and heat networks as well as the associated effect of industrial decarbonisation on the local electricity network.
