David has spent over 20 years working in client facing roles delivering and overseeing bespoke, multi-million pound projects and programmes relating to the sustainability and procurement agendas with a specific focus on zero carbon strategies, building retrofit and innovation.
David’s experience and knowledge is reflected in the initiatives he has been invited to participate in including The Mayor of Greater Manchester's 'Retrofit Taskforce', the Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s Low Carbon Challenge Group and Commercial Buildings Challenge Group, Electricity Northwest's Sustainability Advisory Panel, Constructing Excellence GM Committee and several social housing focused networks.
David is currently involved in the £700m Home Upgrade Grant: Phase 2 and the £800m Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund through his roles as Programme Director for a Department of Energy Security and Net Zero funded contract to deliver the Home Upgrade Hub and Social Housing Retrofit Accelerator.
Outside of work, David is a Director of a community owned hydro-electric company, Chair of a primary school Governing Body, leader at an Explorer Scout Unit and a Trustee of a small charity community group.
