Our mission is to provide affordable carbon capture on an industrial scale by harnessing genetically modified cyanobacteria. Applying the power of modern biotechnology, CyanoCapture unlocks the untapped potential of an ancient biological system that can capture CO2 without the need for expensive catalysts or sorbents. When raw flue gas is bubbled through these containers, CO2 can be quickly absorbed by the organisms and converted into biomass and biological oils. The end-to-end process is a thermodynamically-favourable method of removing CO2 from the carbon cycle that does not pose a competing threat to the world's electricity supply.
