The Centre of Renewable Energy Systems at Cranfield University specialises in research, design and development of solar energy (both PV and Concentrating Solar Thermal Power), onshore and offshore (fixed-bottom or floating) wind energy as well as wave converter and tidal stream technologies. The Centre’s staff are actively involved in research, consultancy, education and training and many sit on national and international advisory boards in the area of solar, onshore/offshore wind, wave and tidal energy. We publish in leading journals such as Solar Energy, Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells, Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews, Renewable Energy, Wind Engineering, Applied Energy, Energies, Marine Structures, and Ocean Engineering. Located in Cranfield University’s “Energy & Power” theme, the Centre always runs the flagship “MSc in Renewable Energy” and offers short courses for commercial clients.
